Jennifer and Cristin are at it again!! For those who are unfamiliar, we co-hosted an online radio show a few years ago called The C Spot which focused on all things queer. While some may certainly still find it queer, Call Me Crazy will go beyond sexual and gender identity to discuss the laws of the Universe and the Power that is inside each one of us to manifest our own reality and thus to manifest a world we all want to live in. It's gonna get what some might call a little "woo woo", and you might even #CallUsCrazy a time or two, but we're excited to engage in the conversation with you!!

Y'all are not gonna believe this! The Universe is amazing!!
I am a Being who shares my authentic Self with others. I share my experiences and my knowledge in order to expand the Universe, to expand others' perspectives, understanding, and knowledge which will, in turn, expand their own experiences, Life, and Universe. I chose to come here to help to raise the Consciousness of the Earth and everything I think, say, and do to that end. Inspired by the Light of so many others, I shine a different Light in the World that not everyone can see, but those who do will feel Grateful & Inspired to see a glimpse of themselves and to be ignited to Shine their own special Light that may be a little more like those who couldn't see My Light, and they will Inspire those who see Their Light to Shine in the way I have Inspired those who saw my Light and so on and so on and eventually, all the World will be a bright, beautiful, brilliant Light so powerful that all Darkness will cease and we All will experience Ecstasy. ~ JMB, October 17, 2016
This is a perfect depiction of something that I briefly mentioned my FB live the other day. Unfortunately, we live in a world where so many of us cling to this idea that two conflicting ideas or perspectives cannot both be the truth. We tend to believe that our perspective is the RIGHT perspective and that if our perspective is right - which it OBVIOUSLY is or we would not maintain that perspective - then all other perspectives, especially those in direct conflict or opposition to our perspective have to be wrong. However, this meme is a perfect example of how two completely different perspectives are both absolutely true.
Just a quick check-in via Facebook live - my very first one! Woot! Get acquainted with the work I'm doing and where I'm going with it!
Many people have a misperception about coming out that it is a one time, dramatic, grand event...I imagine like jumping out of a cake. However, that could not be further from the truth for most, if not all, of us. The fact of the matter is that, much like most things in life, it is different for every one of us. While some people have vivid memories of being aware - and maybe even declaring - their identity as a young child, others discover and/or acknowledge their identity outside of the heteronormative binary much later in life. In fact, some of you reading this post may find that some time in the future, you no longer identify the same way that you do, today. We are evolving beings and life is fluid. I was straight until I wasn't, and then I was completely unsure until I wasn't, and then I was a lesbian until I wasn't, and then, although I really don't care for labels at all, when necessary (is it ever, really?) I use the word Queer to define my identity. This sometimes confuses people. They don't always understand what it means and often are under the impression that it's a nasty word. To which I affirm that it certainly can be when used with hurtful intention. For me, queer means that my sexual identity transcends the binary of attraction to men or women. That my love and connection with someone is not dependent upon what's in their pants. The irony of this is that eight years ago, I, myself, couldn't say the word queer without feeling very uncomfortable because of my own impressions about the word. Today is #NationalComingOutDay and I'm coming out again because things change, because shining the light of our authentic selves shines light into the world and makes it a more beautiful, more accepting, and safer place for others to shine their light, when they are ready. |
